Description

Middle aged, tiny Peppino is a taxidermist who meets a very tall and attractive young waiter named Valerio at the zoo. Peppino invites Valerio to become his well-paid assistant, to which Valerio readily agrees. Valerio enjoys his new profession, and the prostitutes that Peppino hires for him are a fringe benefit. However, Peppino cannot really afford Valerio’s salary, and has been borrowing money from the Mafia, for which he does work on the side stuffing human corpses with drugs. When Valerio falls for Deborah, a beautiful young woman, a battle of wills ensues.

"Draws us, deeper than we expect, into a very scary place." - San Francisco Chronicle

"Perverse and chilling, but also novel and smart!" - New York Daily News

"An aching meditation on the power of beauty… evokes a psychosexual power struggle with perfect accuracy and finely tuned performances." - The New York Times

"A compelling drama of unfulfilled dreams and frustrated desires that pulls the audience into a dark, mesmerizing world that never loosens its grip." - Variety
