Homemade Hillbilly Jam

Homemade Hillbilly Jam follows three families of modern-day hillbillies living in the Ozark Mountains of Southwestern Missouri. Leading the pack is Mark Bilyeu from the hillbilly band Big Smith. All well-educated, modern-day hippies reared on gospel music, Mark and his cousins from Big Smith are refreshingly anachronistic, and a vivid reminder of the hell-raising antics of their bootlegging ancestors. While their sharp tongues and leftist sympathies stand out in this staunchly conservative, Baptist region, Big Smith’s commitment to preserving their musical heritage has earned them accolades from fans of all persuasions.
