Synopsis

From the imagination of Astrid Lindgren, the author of Pippi Longstocking, comes this heartwarming tale of a little girl named Brenda Brave. Brenda lives with her grandmother in a lovely village. One day Grandma slips and injures her leg, and Brenda helps takes care of her. She also helps out with Grandma’s business – selling peppermint sticks from a stall in the Town Square! Although Brenda acts out of the most loving and selfless motives, she is wonderfully rewarded at Christmas in the most charming way.

A film by Daniel Bergman, son of Ingmar Bergen. Featuring screen legend Harriet Andersson (Fanny and Alexander).
